Our Clare based multinational client is now recruiting a Team Leader for immediate start to join their team on 11 month contract.

General Responsibilities:


    Perform the Team Leader role in support of one or more production areas on Day shift. Shift pattern may vary at the Company’s discretion.
    Drive assigned production areas to achieve daily/weekly/monthly performance metrics
    Initiate and drive continuous improvement activities
    Execute all relevant company policies and procedures


Detailed Responsibilities:


1. Provide leadership and direction to one or more production areas.
2. Continuously meet and exceed the daily performance targets
3. Drive all production metrics to excellence and update all associated visual communication charts as required
4. Perform regular 6S audits on all production areas and drive LEAN initiatives on the second shift e.g. TPM, Kaizen events etc.
5. Hold regular communications meetings e.g. shift startup meetings
6. Contribute to employee appraisals on an annual basis
7. Drive individual employee performance on a daily basis and provide regular feedback to all employees on all aspects of their performance
8. Adhere to all company standards, policies, and procedures including health and safety requirements.
9. Provide the necessary support in the training and development of production operators.
10. Work with Engineering and quality on the identification & implementation of productivity improvement programs.
11. Ensure product integrity by following all appropriate engineering and quality procedures
12. Work with all relevant support departments to ensure all equipment and processes are operating to maximum efficiency
13. Provide documented, detailed shift handover reports to the product leader on a daily basis
14. Develop production plans for all cells within the relevant production area in cooperation with the product leader




Experience:


Ø 2-5 years experience working in similar role in a high volume manufacturing or repair facility
Ø Demonstrated team leader / management experience



Ø Demonstrated experience of driving a process/processes to excellence
Ø Familiarity with LEAN techniques
A strong element of Flexibility is required for this position

Education:
Certificate / Diploma / Degree in supervisory management or equivalent experience would be an advantage.
