Cascade Designs Ltd, a leading multi -national sporting goods Manufacturer based in Midleton Co. Cork, have a vacancy for a Cost Accountant. He or she will be a key member of the Finance Team which provides business critical support to the Cascade Designs group. The main details associated with the position are as follows:


Standard Costing:
· Maintain and manage the standard costing activities for all products as related to the facility
· Variance analysis – report on key production cost figures and variances from standards/budgets, analysis of production and purchase price variances
· Preparation of Budget standard costs - manage the calculation of standard costs for the following year.
· Assist with the annual Price setting process.

Operations / Financial Reporting:
· Assistance in completion of the Monthly Mgt. Accounts to tight deadlines.
· Inventory reporting – Monthly Reconciliations to include RM, FG, WIP, and Intransit.
· Investigating WIP count and Cycle count variances.
· Verification and accurate classification of financial accounting entries in respect of all cost of sales and inventory transactions
· Assist with preparation and analysis of budgets and forecasts.
· VAT returns.
· Divisional Profitability Reporting.
Other:
· Knowledge of and ability to be flexible within all areas of the Finance department.
· Provide financial support to special projects for the organisation, as needed
· Continuous Improvement Focus


Skills and Experience required:

Qualified / Part Qualified (CIMA/ACCA/ACA)
· At Least 2 years Cost Accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
· Working knowledge of a computerised accounting package, ideally JD Edwards
· Excellent computer skills including Microsoft word and excel
· Strong work ethic and communication skills, positive attitude, self-motivated
· Must be a team-player, with flexibility, high attention to detail and ability to interact with different levels of management
Ability to handle multiple tasks and good problem solving skills
Able to work to tight financial deadlines.
