HR Generalist with 5+yrs in a similar role ideally within a multinational manufacturing environment required for 2yr fixed term contract with leading multinational in Cork.

Responsibilities:

OCM Projects
Develop and implement communications and change management plans for area-specific change projects in conjunction with line management. During execution, ensure good “HR process” and support line management in managing employee relations.

HR Policies

  • Own the development, implementation and ongoing support/improvement of HR policies. This includes the provision of education, training and interpretation to both management and employees. In addition, coach/support line management in policy implementation.
  • Identify the need for new policies based on the strategic needs of the organisation, legal developments and best practice.
  • Key policies in scope include (but are not limited to): the Employee Handbook; Leaves and Work-Life Balance; Bullying & Harassment (Dignity at Work); Investigations; Grievance and Discipline.
HR Processes and Systems

  • Own the development, implementation and ongoing support/improvement of HR processes and ensure their effective performance: Performance Management (ePM); Job-Levelling and Job-Fill; HR Training for Line Management.
  • Lead initiatives to improve the efficiency and performance of HR systems, e.g. move to online share administration.
  • Provide oversight of key administrative processes, including: administration of “moves, adds and changes”, Entry and Exit (includes international assignments).
3rd Party Relationship Management
Manage the relationship with key external providers to ensure the appropriate level of service to the organisation. Examples include providers in the areas of: Recruitment; Health and Life Benefit; International Relocation.

Desired Experience

  • Ideally degree qualified in a relevant HR related discipline
  • Five plus years experience in a similar role in a manufacturing HR environment.
  • Good knowledge of the HR/IR legal environment.
  • Ability to develop HR policies and to manage change and employee relations/IR.
  • Ability to operate successfully across different environments would be an advantage.
