Responsibilities

* Develops and executes innovative Category Strategy Plan based on business needs, market conditions, historical data, forward looking spend projections, expert knowledge of supply base and industry, and opportunities for improvements.

* Provides program support model that is global in reach

* Demonstrates expertise in procurement as a discipline along with category expertise

* Drives program improvements through ongoing collaboration with key stakeholder groups

* Negotiates standardized contract terms and conditions with strategic supply base

* Develops strong SOWs and SLAs that clearly articulate deliverables, resources, fees, and appropriate metrics in collaboration with key stakeholder groups for individual engagements

* Develops and maintains supplier management program for key supply base

* Performs business analysis and develops recommendations for business solutions

* Drives total cost improvements for categories; improving process efficiencies and supplier performance while reducing overall costs

* Develops and recommends category policies and procedures that are consistent with best practice operations

Qualifications and Required Experience

* Minimum of 6-8 years of overall experience including 4-6 years indirect procurement category management role.

* Experience in a wide range of categories such as telecom, office products, print, equipment, building services, IT, etc.

* Highly collaborative individual with measureable experience developing and executing strategic plans based on spend habits and trends within the company

* Balances strategic thinking with the ability to tactically get things done

* Masters communication and networking skills across all key stakeholder groups and at all levels of the organization

* Experience in communicating objectives with clarity in order to obtain consensus

* Demonstrates experience working with internal experts to create a team approach to driving optimal results

* Extensive experience executing RFx, MSAs, SOWs, SLAs

* Demonstrates negotiation and contract management experience

* Experience developing and maintaining supplier scorecard program as a basis for continuous improvement

* Ability to build a strategy to drive innovation, develop competition, improve quality, service and delivery model for the category

* Experience using a major e-commerce system such as Oracle, Ariba or SAP

* Demonstrates ability to perform market analysis and develop benchmarking information

* Expert desk top skills including strong utilization of the MS Suite including Word, PowerPoint & Excel
