Exciting opportunity with a Market Leading Client who have interesting and challenging R & D roles that allow for career development and progression.

The analogue processing for DVD players, DVD recorders, car audio system and TV requires advance high speed DACs, ADCs and signal conditioning circuitry with clocking rates from 74MHz upwards.
The audio processing requires 110dB dynamic range ADC & DAC cores with sigma-DSP processing at baseband and 12-bit 54MHz ADC cores for sound IF processing.
The products have integrated quad channel HDMI receivers for digital AV signals as well as large digital cores that require thorough fault coverage using the latest test pattern generation techniques.

The main functions of the DVP Test Engineering group are:-
· provide test characterisation data for new designs.
· contribute to DFT on new products to keep FFC to a minimum.
· engineer efficient test solutions enabling the production of these new
designs. The test platform is the Teradyne Catalyst with newer products
targeted for theTeradyne Ultra-flex. The group simulates new designs in
the test environment using "Virtual Test".

Responsibilities
· display technical innovation in test development work on new products
ensuring success in fast growing consumer & automotive markets.
· plan, track and expedite new products from concept stage through to
release.
· develop the techniques to characterise and production test high speed,
high performance DAC's, ADC's, DDR interfaces, and large digital cores.
· provide full characterisation and production test solutions for high definition multi-
media interface (HDMI) transmitters and receivers capable of receiving data up to 3.0 GHz.

Higher Degree in Electronic Engineering or equivalent with ideally 6 years experience in
mixed signal test development. Knowledge of C and mixed signal PCB design is preferable. Strong inter-personal, teamwork and communicational skills are required.
