The Employer
Our client (‘the Charity’) is an established charity delivering Arts Therapies services to vulnerable children through a network of schools and community organisations in Limerick city and its environs. The Charity also provides services 'in house' from its own premises.

The Board is seeking a full-time CEO to lead the Charity strategically through its next development phase; a role focusing on the development of the Charity and the management of the services of the Charity.
The successful candidate may come from a variety of backgrounds, within either the commercial or not-for-profit sectors.
Therefore, while a background or qualification in therapies will be a distinct advantage, individuals with proven managerial and leadership abilities in any sector will be considered.
Key Qualities:
The role requires a combination of commercial and organizational acumen, an appreciation of the nature of the services provided by the project and an ability to identify and secure ongoing funding.

3) Be an ambassador for The Charity and its philosophy in all dealings with the community and the public at large.
4) Be able to manage the staff and the needs of the charity on a day-to-day basis to meet the broader goals and objectives laid down by The Charity.
5) Be able to manage the charity from a financial perspective ensuring all normal controls are in place and to be financially aware so as to provide estimates of costs and revenues of each major initiative for approval prior to undertaking it.
6) Maintain knowledge of current trends and developments in the area of philanthropy.
7) Possess knowledge of the workings of local and national governmental and philanthropic organisations and be capable of effectively establishing contact with such organisations.
