Logistics Manager with 5yrs management experience in a logistics environment required for permanent role in Galway. The successful candidate will have responsibility for the entire function which includes freight, warehousing and distribution and will report to the Commercial Director.

Responsibilities :

  • Responsible for all movement of goods within the Company
  • Working closely with buying and store operations to ensure their requirements are met
  • Managing a substantial budget, ensuring value for money and efficiencies are achieved
  • Managing relationships with logistics providers and liaising with goods suppliers as the need arises
  • Ensuring accuracy of stock information on systems
  • Management of the personnel within the logistics department
  • Internal reporting and projects as requested


Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years management experience in a logistics environment
  • Experience in strategic planning
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and numeracy skills
  • Be highly motivated and ambitious, and have an appetite for hard work
  • Experience with SAP would be an advantage
